RYLEIGH WARD

2020 - CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY

Ryleigh was a two year letter winner under Coach Jessica Poole at Cedar Ridge.  She was a part of the 2019 team who earned the District 13-6A District Championship as well as Bi-District Championship.  She earned Academic All District honors all 4 years of high school as well as qualified for Academic All State.  She was also a member of HOSA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and National Honor Society.  Ryleigh is attending Concordia University Texas where she plays 1B for the Tornados and is majoring in Nursing.

 

She played travel ball with the American Freedom organization under Coach Ricky Noska.

  • Maddie helped lead the Raiders to District Titles in 2018 and 2019

  • 1st Team All-District 2019

  • Set the school records for most walks and best batting average

  • Academic All-State 2019

Serena Perez - 2019

Serena helped lead the Raiders to District Titles in 2018 & 2019. She played 3rd & 2nd for Cedar Ridge. Serena was selected for FCA All Star 2019, Nominated for 2019- 6A TX Student Female Athlete of the year, Academic All State 2019

2nd team All District 2018, 2019. Prior to Cedar Ridge Serena started at 3rd base as a Freshman at McNeil HS.

Serena played travel ball for Tx Blaze Elite Doug Lindsey & Tx Blaze National Jim Bonola.

Estephania Elliott - 2019

As a junior, she hit .314 while slugging .608 to lead CRHS to its third consecutive District 13-6A Championship. She was named the Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore after hitting .394 and leading her team to the regional semifinals.

Tori McCann - 2019

Helped guide the Raiders to the 2018 13-6A District Championship... named All-District all four years as a Raider... 2018 and '19 district pitcher of the year... 2019 Cedar Ridge team and district MVP... two-time academic all-district honoree... nominated for 2019 Texas Gatorade Player of the Year... American Statesman 2019 All-Centex first team.

Texas State

Camryn Middlebrook - 2019

A 4-Year Varsity starter for Jessica Poole. She started at 3B her freshman year and then started at SS her sophomore, junior, and senior year. She helped lead the Raiders to the District 13-6A Title all four years as well as a Bi-District Championship all four years, and to a Regional Quarterfinals in 2017. Camryn was honored with Academic All-District all four years and Texas Academic All-State her senior year. She was also awarded with 2nd Team All-District in 2016 and 2017, 1st Team All-District in 2018 and 2019, and she was the District 13-6A Defensive MVP in 2019. As a senior, Camryn broke a couple of school records, she scored 44 Runs in a single season and she hit 15 doubles in a single season. 

 

Camryn played travel ball for Texas Blaze 18u Gold under the coaching staff of John Carpenter from 2016-2018. Her senior year she played for Illusions 18u Gold-Villegas. 

 

Camryn will be a starting SS and 3B for the SFA Lumberjacks. She is Majoring in Kinesiology and Minoring in Combined Sciences to become a Physical Therapist. 

Stephen F Austin

Katy Repa - 2019

A 4-year varsity starter helped lead the Raiders to 4 District titles, 4 bi-district titles, and a 2017 regional quarterfinals. Katy earned Academic All-District all four years, 2nd Team All District in 2016 and 2018, Honorable Mention All District in 2017, and 1st Team All District and Academic All State in 2019. She ended with 5 home runs in her senior year and participated in the Austin Area and FCA all star games. Katy played for Texas Blaze Gold and will be an outfielder at SFA as she majors in engineering.

Taygan Landrey - 2018

Was a two year letter winner from Jessica Poole at Cedar Ridge Highschool. Was named Academic All-District 2016-2018. Also was awarded underclassman achievement in academics. In her younger years at Cedar Ridge she received Offensive MVP (JV) and awarded for commitment and dedication. 

 

Prior to UMHB Taygan played for the Texas Premier Fastpitch organization. She is now a nursing major at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor. Taygan will be playing Outfield and Catcher at UMHB.

Erika Richardson - 2018

A 4-year varsity starter at 2B under Coach Jessica Poole, Erika helped lead the Raiders to the District 13-6A title all four years, bi-district championship all four years, and regional quarterfinals in 2017.  Erika was honored as Academic All-District all four years and earned All-District Newcomer of the Year in 2015, All-District in 2016 and 2017, and District MVP in 2018.  Erika posted a .350 batting average or better all four years at Cedar Ridge.

Erika played travel ball for Impact Gold Jacoby under the direction of Kelli Jacoby and the Texas Bombers under the direction of Tony Goins.

Campbell University

AJ Williams - 2018

Lettered four years for Coach Jessica Pool at Cedar Ridge High School … Helped lead the Raiders to the District 13-6A title all four years as well as the bi-district championship all four years … Led the program to the regional championship in 2017 … 4-time all-district honoree, including first team in 2018 … Earned the All-Star Golden Glove Award at the 2018 Greater Austin All-Star game … Batted .300 with three home runs as a senior … Named Academic All-District in 2015, 2017 and 2018 … Played travel ball for the Texas Blaze and coach John Carpenter.

AJ will be the main utility player and will see playing time at1B/3B and the OF for the La Tech Lady Bulldogs.

They are the preseason favorite to win C-USA and she hopes to play a major role in getting her team to the NCAA 

college world series.

Breanna Hernandez - 2017

Prior to UIW.

Breanna Hernandez is a 5-9 infielder from The Woodlands, Texas. A letterwinner in softball at Cedar Ridge High School, Hernandez was a three-time District Pitcher of the Year and also won District Newcomer of the Year honors as a freshman and Team Defensive Player of the Year as a junior.  As a freshman, she hit .372 with 17 RBI, while striking out 143 batters in the circle. As a sophomore, she hit .346 with 29 RBI and striking out 127 opponents in the circle, where she later earned Team Player of the Year accolades.
 
Hernandez was named Academic All-District and played club softball for the Texas Stix Softball Organization. She plans to major in rehab science at UIW.

Heaven Burton - 2016

Prior to Texas Tech.

Was a two-sport athlete, competing in softball and volleyball … spent freshman season at Fort Bend Bush High School, sophomore season at Hutto High School and final two seasons at Cedar Ridge High School in Round Rock, Texas … played in center field throughout high school career … named Offensive Player of the Year for District 13-6A in senior season after hitting .462 with a .635 slugging percentage and .517 on base percentage … also named to the Premier Girl’s Fastpitch (PGF) Southwest Regional All-American Team … posted a .532 average and 12 stolen bases and was named District 17-5A Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore at Hutto HS in 2014 … as a freshman in 2013, hit .624 and collected 24 stolen bases at Fort Bend Bush HS … was a first team all-district choice in 2013 and 2014 and second team honoree in 2015 … helped lead Cedar Ridge to a district championship both seasons at the school (2015, 2016) … played travel ball for Diamond Sports Hotshots (junior-senior) and Impact Gold Sessum (freshman-sophomore) … on the volleyball court, competed at outside hitter, middle blocker and defensive specialist … left Cedar Ridge as one of the Top 5 blockers in school history.

Nicole Merrill - 2013

Prior To UTSA
Three-year letterwinner at Cedar Ridge High School in Round Rock, Texas, after earning a letter at Stony Point High School … played for head coach Jessica Poole at Cedar Ridge and was a two-time first-team All-District 16-4A selection and twice was tabbed the team’s Defensive MVP … as a junior, she went 10-3 with a 1.53 ERA in district play and batted .436 to help give the Raiders a postseason berth … she was named team captain the last three seasons … earned academic all-district honors all four seasons and academic all-state laurels as a senior … also was a member of the National Honor Society … played select ball for the Texas Blaze Gold and qualified for Gold Nationals in 2011 and 2012 along with PGF Premier Gold Nationals in 2013.

Three-year letterwinner for head coach Jessica Poole at Cedar Ridge High School.  Played freshman campaign at Stoney Point High School earning 2010 5A District 14 Newcomer of the Year and All-District First Team.  2013 5A District 16 Offensive MVP, Academic All-State and All-District.  2012 All-District Defensive MVP and Academic All-District.  Two-time Cedar Ridge Team MVP (2011, 2013).  Competed with the Texas Blaze, who made three trips to the ASA Gold Nationals.  Member of the National Honor Society and PALS

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Jessica Poole at Cedar Ridge High School in Round Rock, Texas … led the team with a .390 batting average, .530 on-base percentage and .623 slugging percentage and added 53 assists as a sophomore … finished second on the team with a .462 batting average as a junior … earned MVP, academic all-district and second team all-district honors as a junior while helping the team to a third-place finish at the 4A district championships … was the captain for the Raiders her senior year … earned academic all-district honors as a junior and was honored for her 5.0 and above GPA her sophomore and junior years … finished in the top four percent of her class … a National Honor Society Member.
